Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. ( I John 4:7 )
Welcome to the home page of First Baptist Church. We would love to have you join us for one of our Sunday or Mid-Week services. Our hope is that this site will help acquaint you with some of our programs and help you learn more about our ministries.
Is. 40:8. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.
When the ground underneath shakes, we can go to the One who cannot be shaken. Eternal security rests in the eternal Word of God. When hopelessness arises, turn to the rock of Christ Jesus.
With the cuurent uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus situation and in consideration for the safety of our children, VBS volunteers and the community, First Baptist Winfield has decided to postpone our Vacation Bible School until further notice. We regret that this is necessary, but the safety of all involved must take priority. Check this site frequently for furthe information as it becomes available.
This Sunday, July 12, Winfield First Baptist Church will have both IN-PERSON WORSHIP and ON-LINE WORSHIP.
There will be ONE SERVICE ONLY @ 10:15 AM.
Please join us this Sunday at 10:15 AM in person, on the website, local cable TV, facebook page, or radio.
The church asks all those attending in person to observe all the special recommendations for gatherings. Volunteers are needed to sit in the balcony.
p>The church will have two Sunday morning worship services: 8:45 till 9:50 AM and 10:15 AM.
We would like to do this in order to distance people in the sanctuary, but mostly out of close hallway and restroom spaces.
If coming to the second service, please arrive at 10:05 AM or later and not earlier while the building is being sanitized between services.
Please wait and be dismissed by rows following each service.
There will not be Sunday School at 9:00 AM nor nursery care in either of the services. We will keep people out of tight SS spaces temporarily.
All children and preschoolers will accompany their parents to either of the services for the time being. A children’s time will be held in each service, and an online children’s church program will be scheduled each week.
The church will broadcast and stream the 10:15 AM service as usual.
Offering plates will be positioned in and around the sanctuary for giving instead of “passing the plate.”
Volunteer opportunities during this temporary phase – please contact the church office or the coordinator to volunteer.
Some things we ask all to consider as the services begin again:
Ways to Contribute to Winfield First Baptist Church
In these uncertain times. . .
People need the hope found in Jesus Christ.
People need the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
People need to love their neighbor like the Good Samaritan.
People need the church to be a light burning and not hid.
Therefore. . .
Be the Church – love, serve, and pray for one another.
Stay in contact – with your Sunday School class and Deacon families.
Be a witness for Christ as to how a believer faces tests.
Worship online, by cable tv, or radio.
Continue the support of the church even if absent so that its mission might continue strong here and throughout the world.
Regarding changes. . .
The church will communicate announcements through the church website, social media, and electronic means.
The church will restrict entry into the church building during normal weekday working hours. If coming by, please call from the parking lot and someone will let you in.
The church will consider carefully in regard to future programs and scheduling.
The church will re-evaluate constantly concerning any needed changes.
Mt. 6:26-27 (ESV). Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
27. And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

Mark Cahill’s passion is for the entire world to know Jesus Christ! He lives to spread the knowledge of God and the gospel far and wide. To that end, he shares the gospel with everyone he meets and even with those he hasn’t met through his best-selling books.
Uniquely gifted as an evangelist, Mark effectively communicates the gospel to the lost so they can be saved, and to the saved so they will get fired-up to reach the lost! “The most exciting thing,” Mark says, “is that they actually go and do it!” Many people respond to Mark’s talks saying they finally feel equipped to share their faith in Jesus Christ!
First Baptist Winfield, Alabama is excited to welcome Mark Cahill to our Spring Outreach Day on Sunday, March 1, 2020.
Go ahead and mark your calendar to be with us!
