Dr. Paul T. MurphyPastor:  Dr. Paul T. Murphy

Dr. Paul T. Murphy was born and reared in Sylacauga, Alabama. He is married to the former Deborah Lister of Mobile. They are the proud parents and grandparents of four adult children, including one daughter, three sons, one granddaughter and two grandsons.

Dr. Murphy graduated valedictorian from Sylacauga High School in 1975. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Magna Cum Laude and area award in religion) in 1979. He also earned a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from The New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, 1983 and 1993 respectively.

His preaching and pastoral ministry has spanned thirty-eight years, including an associate at Dauphin Way Baptist Church, pastor of Twelfth Street Baptist, Gadsden and First Baptist, Arab. He served in various capacities for The Alabama Baptist Convention and The Southern Baptist Convention.

He has served as Mission Team Leader to Guatemala, Paraguay, Brazil, Spain, North Africa, Cana Islands, Indonesia, Haiti and conducted numerous evangelist efforts.

Rev. Tim LaceyMinister of Music & Senior Adults:  Tim Lacey

Tim has been on staff at Winfield First Baptist since July of 1996.  He grew up in the town of Silverhill, Alabama, and received a B.S. degree in music education from Mobile College.  He also traveled with the Christian music group, TRUTH, as a trumpet player in the band. 

Tim received a Master of Church Music degree in writing and arranging for church instrumental groups from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.  He has served in churches in Alabama, Florida, and Kentucky. 

Tim met his wife, Debbie, in Pensacola, Florida, where they were married in 1981.  Tim and Debbie have a daughter, Kristi.
Rev. Jeff BrantleyMinister of Youth & Education:  Jeff Brantley

Jeff  began serving at Winfield First Baptist in January of 2006.  He grew up in Atmore, Alabama and received his B.S. degree from the University of South Alabama in 1991.  Jeff received his Master of Divinity(Biblical Languages) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1994.  He has served in student ministry since 1992, working in churches in Texas, Alabama, and Tennessee.  He has been married to Darla since 1991, and they have two children, a son Luke, and a daughter Robin.
